The flock lives at the Blanchette Farm a short walk from the shop.

You can visit, maybe even pick out your own fleece for the next shearing.

Fresh eggs and preserves available, too, at times.

Although in this century we would call it a "hobby farm" ,

the Blanchette Farm is a true Adirondack tradition.

Not only does it produce

fine spinning fleeces, lamb and mutton, but all the Blanchette family yearly

needs for vegetables, poultry, eggs, ... some years there is dairy and beef too.

It's not unusual to see four generations of females in the kitchen at one time

or hooking on the same rug in the living room.

It's a  good life.
