Charity Knitting is your opportunity to give something wonderful made with your hands to someone in need while enjoying the company of other knitters. Knitters of all skill levels are welcome. Experienced knitters are always pleased to help beginners.

Adirondackwoolery will supply yarns and patterns and will make arrangements to deliver finished projects to charity. All you need to bring are your needles.

Our charity group, Newcomb 'Nitters, will meet the third Sunday of each Month, starting May 18th at the shop on       Pine Tree Road from 3-5 p.m.

If you can't make that group time, let us know. You can knit the charity project on your own, at home, or you might make arrangements to knit with a small group at the shop             at another time.

Our first charity project is to dress stuffed bear cubs for Christmas presents for the children at Capital City Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter in Albany, NY.

We hope to get a good number of bears done for Teddy Roosevelt Weekend and will sponsor a Teddy dress up contest and a history of the Teddy Bear display at the shop that weekend.
